Honey Coriander Wing Sauce
1/8 cup chili powder
1/4 cup ground ginger
2 ea lime zest
1/4 cup coriander
1 cup soy sauce
1 3/4 cup honey
Place all ingredients in a sauce pan.
Heat until hot.
Remove from heat and let cool. Serve with chicken wings.
Note: We bake the wings with garlic, salt and pepper to season them. Dean eats them plain since he is allergic to honey. I LOVE this sauce. I am going to try freezing the leftover sauce and see how it holds up. I’ll let you know when I take it out to try it again!
Ok, Update: January 28, 2013: Took a batch of sauce out of the freezer. It never did freeze completely solid, but close. I was worried about how the honey would do in the freezer. I just heated the sauce after defrosting in the fridge over night. It came back GREAT! YAY! I am so glad because the recipe is just way too much for just me and I have already cut it down a lot from the original. So I have one more batch in the freezer for future use.
